Shorten Text displayed in Summary View
In Sharepoint 3.0, I would like to create a summary view where only the first 2-3 lines of something like 'annoucements' are displayed. The current summary view displays way too much for our purposes. Can this be accomplished? Also, can the Title of annoucements be bolded or enlarged?
The annoucements just looks very messy because we have alot of paragraph breaks early in the body, and the titles don't seem to stick out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In order to do this, you're gong to have to use a dataview. Use Sharepoint Designer 2007 and add a dataview webpart that uses your "list" as a source. You're going to have to use XPATH to shorten the display of the text, I believe, and that part is out of my range. However, the dataview will give much more flexibility over what is displayed and how it is displayed.
