Sharepoint Error: "Could not load type Microsoft.SharePoint.Library.SPRequestInternalClass from assembly Microsoft.SharePoint.Library"

Over night our companyweb page stopped working. As far as I know the only thing that was being done by the server was a backup to a USB drive. This is the error that we get when we try browse to the companyweb:

Could not load type Microsoft.SharePoint.Library.SPRequestInternalClass from assembly Microsoft.SharePoint.Library, Version=11.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c because it attempts to implement a class as an interface.

What would have caused this and what can I do to rectivfy it?
