Does anyone have a solution/trick to install Sharepoint 3.0 Services on a XP machine for demo purposes?

I need to demo/train Microsoft Dynamics AX on my laptop (which runs Windows XP Prof SP2) and in order to also have the possibility to show Portal technology connected to AX I need to pre install Sharepoint 3.0 Services SP1. But this can only be installed on Windows Server 2003. I had a similar problem with parts of SQL 2005, but was rescued with the development edition from SQL 2005 which could be installed completely on XP. Does anyone have an idea how to install Sharepoint 3.0 Services SP1 on XP?

I could use a Virtual PC of course but I prefer a local installation on my laptop.

Install virtual server on your machine and build a Server 2003 image. Install WSS on that.
