I had to uninstall WSS 3.0 on one of my servers a few months back as there was a new server purchased to run our intranet. Since then, we wanted to setup a 'test' site on the same server to test backups and other functions w/out harming the live site.
When I went to re-install WSS 3.0, it installed fine, but when it went through the wizard, it failed on step 5/6 saying that I don't have permissions.
According this this KB from Microsoft, I need to run the following command to create a new DB entry: psconfig -cmd configdb -create -database <uniquename>

Any ideas on why it's failing. What is the proper way to re-install WSS 3.0 w/out having any problems.
