How to redirect asp.net application to a MOSS list using FBA?

Hello Gurus

I am having asp.net/sql server applicatgion where we have implemented fba on 1 server.  On another server we have implemnted FBA Sharepoint site(MOSS 2007). However database server are common for both the application.

How do I open a sharepoint list from asp.net application without opening /prompting login information?

FYI, there are some username which are exisst in asp.net as well as in sharepoint aspsql net provider, so there should no be matter that user is exist in sharepoint site or not.

I tried various solution including andrew blog also, but not succeded. Problem which I am ssuming that I need to pass username/password to a mediator page where we can generate cookies and redirect to fba login so where sharepoint find the cookies and it will automatically login.  Let me correct if I am thinking in wrong way.

I am surprised no one face this experience.

If anyone of you can provide me a sample asp.net code with accesing to sharepoint site, will be greatful.

I do not believe you can read a sharepoint list from ASP.NET application. Storage of the list values are internal to Sharepoint. Where as you can redirect to a shrepoint page using FBA (Forms based Authentication).

There is one more option available called "Web single sign-on" here is a link, that could serve as a starting point for you.
