I am attempting to Install ProjectServer 2007 in a farm environment. I followed the instructions in the Microsoft Technet Article for "Deploying Project Server 2007 to a server farm environment".

Everything went fine until the end, when I tried to "Create Project Web Access Site". After submitting the the site for creation, the status went from "Waiting for Resources" to "Failed - see the event log".
In the event log, 2 errors are listed:

I could not dig up any additional errors or logs that pointed to the actual problem. Please help!

Actually, everything is running on one server right now: SQL 2005, WSS, and Project Server.
So I attempted to provision the PWA site at http://db1:5000/PWA which falied. When I hit that URL I get a 404 error. When I hit http://db1:5000 I get a site titled "Project Web Access" but it looks like a standard sharepoint team site.
What should the PWA site look like? I am expecting something similar to Project Server 2003?
I hate to say this, but sometimes it can be just plain flaky...
Run through the checklist and use the try again. If it fails, delete the failed instance and try again.
Make sure the project services are running... and make sure you are using the same service account as Central Admin (you can change it later).
If it still fails, please look through the ULS logs to see if anything more helpful shows up.
So I actually got it to work...I don't know why, but here is what I did, in case it works for someone else.
I selected "Retry", and then changed the URL path from "PWA" to "projectserver" and then clicked "OK". For a brief moment, the status showed two entries, the original "PWA" site with the failed status, and my new site "projectserver". Eventually the failed site was removed from the list, and the "projectserver" site provisioned correctly. I was able to complete the remaining steps without issue following the deployment guide.
I am not sure if there was a conflict with the URL path I originally picked (PWA), or if there was something I did during my fiddling that got it to work. What I will note, is that I attempted "Retry" before leaving the original URL as "PWA" and it continuted to fail. And without out making any other changes than the URL path, it completed.

Ahh the joys of installed PWA...
I assume you have an additional server (application server) for running the Project services.
Have you validated that you can't get to your PWA set that you attempted to provision?
I've had a fully working PWA instance with Failed showing up in Shared Services.
