The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. Documents Library Permissions Not Working

I'm having an issue with one of our MOSS sites.
We have a multi-web server and separate Database server MOSS install in our environment.  We have over 20 different Sharepoint sites.  

I'll use 2 sites as examples MainSite and TestSite.  I have 2 accounts MainAccount (full admin on the site and domain), and TestAccount (no privileges, just like a normal user.)

Here's the problem:
We create a new document libraries on MainSite and TestSite, REMOVE the permission inheritance, add special permissions to it so only MainAccount has Full Control and no other accounts are listed.

When I log into TestSite with MainAccount, i see everything like I'm supposed to.  When I log into TestSite with my TestAccount, I don't see the document library, when I try to go the library, i get Access Denied.  It's working correctly.  

On MainSite, it doesn't work like it's supposed to.  I see document library with both MainAccount and TestAccount.  TestAccount SHOULD NOT SEE THE DOCUMENT LIBRARY much less be able to browse it and read things.  

I've been working with Microsoft for 3 days with no solutions or ideas, I'm ready to throw in the towel.  Help!
