Document Library will not allow me to set it to "Explorer View"

I have a SharePoint site set up and have been using Internet Exporer version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.080814-1233CO to access the SharePoint site.  

I have set up a document library and was able to switch to "ExplorerView" in one library, however, when I created a second library I am unable to view this library in "Explorer View"  I get "Page Not Found", like I would if I tried to access an internet site without an internet connection.  

Will explorer 7 correct the issue, or do you know of a way to correct the problem if my organization will not approve Explorer 7 to be installed on my machine?

Hello,

As you said problem at IE only (Active X plugin).
1st try reinstall IE6 with latest update. Then go for IE7 installation.

That sometimes links to WebDav problems.
Is your site all in same port like 80?
There are issues for not standart ports like 81 for WebDav connections. Then it shows just same error when trying to switch to Explorer view. Normal view works fine.
Can you see your documents in that documentlibrary when saving from Word? If Yes then it's not WebDav problem.

Thank you for your assistance.  I upgraded to IE7 and everything is working fine.

Make sure that the WebClient service is enabled and running, we had some issues with that here (we had disabled it due to an incompatibility with our previous document repository software).
