Which web part to show info from the subsite?
I have a main site and subsites with documents, forums, calendars, blogs, etc. I would like to show main changes on subsites on the home page of the main site. What is the best way to do it? What web part to use and how to configure it?
For example I would like to show the following:
- last 5 modified documents
- 5 newest forum posts
- 5 upcoming events from the calendar, etc
It is MOSS 2007 Enterprise.

Hallo. You will need to alter the XLS templates of the site collection in order to display the columns you want. These reside under /Style Library/XSL Style Sheets/ and it is ItemStyle.xsl that holds the logic of the columns.
If you decide to create a new XLS template you need to change the style in the CbQ configuration field, under Presentation.

You will want to use the Content Query Web Part to display this Data. Here is a site that can give you some basic info on using this.
