Is there an easy way to protect certain columns in a Sharepoint View

We have a Sharepoint View (based on a list) with 6 Columns, that is limited via a filter to the current windows user. We wanted to lock 4of the columns so they are not editable, but leave 2 of the columns as editable.

Is there an easy way to do this without a webpart?

There's really no easy way aside from different edit pages, but that's not foolproof.

You can make columns hidden(in the add/edit pages),  still they will get displayed in the list and view pages. For this you first need to enable "Allow management of content type" from the List settings pages -> Advanced link. Then click on the content type in the List Settings page, then on the corresponding columns. There you can make the column hidden.
