Cannot connect to default Sharepoint Services 3 web page after installing WSS 3 on windows server 2008

I have a server 2008 installation running Exchange 2007.  After I installed WSS 3 I cannot get the default Sharepoint page which runs on port 80.  On IIS7 I have Default Web site which runs on ports 80 and 443.  I noticed that after the installation of WSS 3 it created a Share point 80 website also on port 80 and a sharepoint Administration site on port 27611 which actually works when I connect to it.  How do I re configure Sharepoint 80 so I can view the website?  If I stop my Default Webiste I can actually connect and view the Sharepoint 80 site. Thanks.

Hi
Thanks for your quick response.
When I try to use the IIS6 management console, it shows connected to my server but says no items to show. None of the websites are listed. IIS7  console is working.
Also, the sharepoint site will only be viewed internally, not out in the public domain.

Thanks
