Browse All TopicsOur Network Services Department is currently testing VMWare's Lab Manager Product. We would like to be able to create virtual development enviros to test SharePoint customizations and third party software.
We currently one lab environment with two virtual servers: Server One is running Server 2008 and hosts the Domain Controller and SQL Server. Server Two is running Server 2008 and hosts SharePoint 2007 (WSS & MOSS), IIS, Office 2007, Sharepoint Designer 2007 and the MS Enterprise Manager.
Both machines have access to the intranet and internet. We would like to be able to test customizations outside of dameware-ing into the server. Currently I can get to my root web on the LM SharePoint Server by using the external IP address assigned by VM: http://172.16.60.34/ and see the results of my test default.aspx page. I cannot however get to any of my SharePoint sites.
Do I need to setup an alternate access map inside of my LM server? If so, I will need some instructional help.... I'm on the business analyst side of the world.
Thanks, Heather
