@next2perfect: I forgot to mention that I tried that and it says: "The list is too large to save as a template. The size of a template cannot exceed 10485760 bytes."

The error message you got, telling you that " I have the capability of holding 10 MB of data as template, But it is more than 10 MB So I can't do this operation..."

To complete the Stsadm procedure, you need to be local admin and member of site owner on the site you are trying to save.

Doc lib settings -> Save it as a template -> Enable include content -> Save it as an stp file. Move it to the new site upload it.
You can also use explorer view but you will loose the metadata.
