This is all started with "The user does not exist or is not unique." I went to the following address to fix the issue.

That got rid of the error, but caused a new one. I try to add the user back in I get "No exact match was found." I went to this address

That fix did not work for me. On that same server (Server 2003) I can add the user fine in NTFS.

Figured it out. After running the stsadm -o setproperty command I rebooted. It fine now.
