I would create the calendars in SharePoint so that people without Outlook can see them and link the calendars to Outlook. Then people can easily check meeting rooms in their outlook.

Browse All TopicsHello,
We are currently attempting to integrate a classroom booking system. The plan is to setup an outlook calendar for each room so that a teacher can see the room and make a booking. Ideally we would like to grab all of the room calendars and display them on a single page in sharepoint. Also we would like to have the calendars displayed so that teachers can compare available times, e.g. display all the calendars for each room on just a monday.
We have tried the "Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 Application Template: Room and Equipment Reservations" in sharepoint, however, it does not meet our requirements.
Can anyone advice the best method to achieve this?
We are running exchange 2007, outlook 2007 & sharepoint 2007.

We have a very basic system for booking our meeting rooms which comprises of each room havina public calendars to which specific users have permissions; through this and a copy of outlook the user can add meetings/bookings to the calendars of any/all the rooms and also see the scheduled bookings and availabilities,
