Question

View Exchange 2007 Public Folder Calendar in MOSS 2007 without login

Asked by: ripnrow

Hello,

We are trying to display our exchange Public folder calendar called "master Calendar" on our share point site. I created a page viewer web part which displays this url "https://exchangeserver/owa/?cmd=contents&module=publicfolders&f=mastercalendar&part=1&view=Monthly" this displays the calendar exactly how we want it, the only problem is that users have to log in to OWA to see this page. We don't want the users to have to log into share point then turn around and log into OWA in the page viewer. Does anyone know of a way to display this link without having to log in? We are running Exchange 2007 on a 2008 enterprise server, and MOSS 2007 on a different 2008 server.

The Exchange web site you are trying to connect to must be set to use Integrated Windows Authentication, which means if you have an Internet accessible OWA (form-based authentication) web site, you need to create another site for Intranet use. In a trusted Intranet environment, this allows the SPS credentials to be passed to the OWA server automatically.

Thanks for replying,

Do I need to create  whole other site in IIS or just another owa virtual directory?

Thanks

Here are some steps
   1. Use Exchange to create a new internal OWA web site
   2. Enter the A-Record for the internal web site on your DNS server
   3. Open IIS Manager
   4. Open the Properties of the new OWA web site
   5. If you are using Host Headers, use the Web site identification Advanced... option to match the web site Host Header to the DNS entry you made
   6. Select the Directory Security tab
   7. Edit Authentication and access control
   8. Select only Integrated Windows Authentication
   9. Close property windows and restart IIS
