Browse All TopicsI have a picture library with several custom columns. I'd like to link the picture library directly to an external SQL database to pull some of the columns real time- there is a field in the picture library called UPC code that also exists in the SQL table that can be used to link them. I've been experimenting with SharePoint Designer connecting to data source but it seems that this is more for creating data view pages.

The only way to do that is to make use of the Business Data Catalog and it is quite complex (you also need SharePoint 2007 Enterprise for that so it won't work in WSS).
