We are migrating to a new dedicated server running Windows Server 2008 with Sharepoint 2010.<br />

I need relatively detailed directions on how to migrate my Sharepoint file from the old machine to the new machine. &nbsp;I'd like to avoid upgrading my old Sharepoint to 2010 in order to achieve the transfer. &nbsp;Likewise, I'd like to avoid loading the older version of Sharepoint on the new machine only to then upgrade it. &nbsp;Ideally I'd transfer the file and restore it without a lot of hassel.<br />

I'm familiar with stsadm an have full admin rights to both machines.<br />
