Sharepoint Migration and Upgrade
Hello,
We currently have a Windows Server 2003 dedicated server running Sharepoint 2003 (WSS 3.0).
We are migrating to a new dedicated server running Windows Server 2008 with Sharepoint 2010.
I need relatively detailed directions on how to migrate my Sharepoint file from the old machine to the new machine. I'd like to avoid upgrading my old Sharepoint to 2010 in order to achieve the transfer. Likewise, I'd like to avoid loading the older version of Sharepoint on the new machine only to then upgrade it. Ideally I'd transfer the file and restore it without a lot of hassel.
I'm familiar with stsadm an have full admin rights to both machines.
Thanks for your time.
Jason
