Front Page 2003 and Sharepoint Services 2.0

Asked by PWyatt1 in Microsoft Office Suite, FrontPage-Expressions, MS SharePoint

Tags: Front Page, Sharepoint Services

I have about 1300 websites I manage on an IIS 6.0 server running Windows 2003 Ent.
I just installed Offices 2003 so I could use the Front Page program for editing the sites.  Every time I go into the inetpub\wwwroot folders to open a site, I get this weird message:
"An error occurred accessing your Front Page web files...Webmasters, please see the erver's system log for more details". There is nothing amiss in the System log, but in the application log, I'mm getting the following error 1000 From Front Page 5.0:
"Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions:
file:// - Error #80002 Message: System exception: access violation."
I have read JS Tip 7596, but it does not apply. ANyhelp would be appreciated.
