I am at a loss as to what is going on here.
Mail Server is wunning Windows 2003 Server SP1 and Exchange 2003 SP2. All clients are Outlook 2003. DNS is pointed to another Domain Controller.
We are having some issues with sending email out to some Domains. One of our clients is running Exchange 2003 and mail to one client on that server will go through, but another will not. There is another user on a different Domain that is having similar issues but I dont have access to mail logs for that domain. There may be more similar issues, but these are the only ones that have been brought to me.
When I go into Message Tracking on our mail server I see that on emails that do not get delivered there is a 10 minute delay between the SMTP: Message routed and Queued for Remote Delivery line and the Message transferred to xyx Domain through SMTP. When I checked the tracking center on the remote exchange server there is no trace of the email making it to the server even though our server says it is delivered.
I can telnet to port 25 on the Domains on the other end and DNS appears to be functioning properly.
