The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

ISA 2006 and OMA

This is from deploying windows mobile:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/solutionaccelerators/mobile/deploy/msfpdepguide.mspx

We are trying to setup mobile access using  OMA/activesync

I am at step 6 and I have successfully installed an ISA server. Our Exchange server has OWA running.  I exported the currently installed certificate from this Exchange server running OWA to the ISA server and installed the certificate  successfully. However, I am unclear with this following step:

Update Public DNS?

Create a new DNS host record in your domain's public DNS servers. Users will initiate a connection using the name of the Web site. This name needs to match the common name or FQDN used in the certificate installed on the ISA Server computer. For example, a user might browse to https://mail.contoso.com/exchange. In this case, the following conditions need to be met for the user to successfully initiate a connection:

• FQDN used in the server certificate installed on the ISA Server computer needs to be mail.contoso.com.

• User needs to resolve mail.contoso.com to an IP address.

• IP address that mail.contoso.com resolves to needs to be configured on the External network of the ISA Server computer.

I am confused with the following:

Presently OWA is via another proxy device using this FQDN and IP address.  So there is already a host record for the FQDN

Is configuring the FQDN's IP address  done with the ISA Server Management? Is this so the the ISA server can communicate with our internal OWA Exchange server

We already use OWA with another proxy device using the certificate from the Exchange server where OWA is running. We are setting this ISA server so we can use OMA. The ISA server has the certificate installed from the only Exchange server

If the user needs to resolve to the IP address the FQDN resolves to, is there a conflict since we have another proxy device that has an external ip address associated with the FQDN (externally). On the ISA server am I allowing it to communicate with the internal IP address for the FQDN?

Id there a conflict with using the certificate that is also used for another proxy device?

Thanks
