The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Best way to setup SBS Premium with a DSL router

Asked by DaveyByrne in MS Forefront-ISA, SBS Small Business Server

Tags: , ,

Hi there,

The following is what I have setup:

"      SBS 2003 Premium installed on a sever with two network cards
"      NIC 1 (inside Network card) is configured as 192.168.11.1 - This is connected to my LAN switch
"      NIC 2 (outside Network card) is configured as 192.168.13.1 - This is connected to my ISP DSL Router
"      My DSL Router has an IP address of 192.168.13.254 and is currently acting as a DHCP
"      My DSL Router uses PPPoE.
"      I have installed ISA 2004

When I launch the connect to internet I receive this error:
The wizard cannot set the DHCP scope options. Ensure that the DHCP server service is running and that a scope is defined. Alternatively, disable the DHCP service manually, and then configure your client computer IP address properties.

I tried turning off the DHCP server option on my router. Do you need to configure anything further on the router? Should the router have a different IP address to the second network card?

What default gateway should users inside the LAN receive?

Thanks in advance
