The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Set up ISA 2004: One client Computer in DMZ  to have same access as a client computer intern

Asked by amanolsson in MS Forefront-ISA, Virtual Private Networking (VPN), SBS Small Business Server

I have a Windows 2003 SBS with 2 NIcs(Intern and extern) and with ISA 2004 set up as a Back-to-back firewall. ISA 2004 is the back firewall and a NetGear FVS338 is the front firewall. In the FVS338 I have the Windows 2003 SBS and a client computer connected. The internet is connected to the other side of FVS338.
Internal: 192.168.5.1 192.168.5.254
External: 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0
Local host: 192.168.5.50 (DNS, etc)
Gateway: 192.168.1.1 (Netgear FVS 338)

I can Ping from SBS to client(DMZ) and if I allow ICMP on the SBS I can ping from client(DMZ) to SBS. I can do remote server access from the client(DMZ) to the SBS.

I would like to access the server with outlook, web outlook, internal homepage, explorer, prints etc from the client in DMZ.

By setting up SBS internet access from adminstration server console I have got about 20 firewall access rules in ISA 2004 automatic. I have tried to add access rules( from www.isaserver.org tutorials, expert-exchange, etc) but no change.

What do i miss or do I not understand right? The installation is German Windows on both SBS and XP-clients.
