I lack the expertise and know-how how to configure ISA Server 2006 and Firewall client to successfuly access Exchange OWA on my ISA server.
Primary goal is to successfully identificate users on ISA server 2006 logs. I mean i need to see DOMAIN\username in user logs.
I wanted to do that by installing Microsoft ISA Client for ISA server.
First some facts:
1. ISA server 2006 SP1
2. Exchange 2007 on INTERNAL network (two servers, Client access role, Mailbox role)
3. Routed network with several networks behind ISA server 2006
4. All traffic pass through ISA server from all networks
5. When not using Firewall client i can access OWA by entering
http://webmail.domain.tld6. There is ISA rule that redirects
http://webmail.domain.tld to
httpS://webmail.domain.tld/owa7. when installed ISA firewall client no redirection is working using IE7 and i need to manually enter full
httpS://webmail.domain.tld/owa. Then i see a certificate problem and Windows "enter username/password" pops up. (basic authentication) (problem to solve)
8. When Firewall client is NOT installed and "automatically detect settings" in IE7 is unchecked i can successfully access HTML form (from ISA server) where i enter my DOMAIN\username and password and then i am redirected to exchange OWA just fine.
It looks like that when using "automatically detect settings" in IE7 the request does not pass trough ISA server "redirect to
https://webmail.domain.tld/owa" rule is not applyed. Does it have something to do with direct acces to OWA? I really dont know if this is true, just speculating.
WHAT I NEED:
1. i need you to ask me some more questions to give you detailed settings and configuration
2. to help me RE-configure my ISA server 2006 to have DOMAIN\username in logs, and successfully access Exchange OWA from Internet and from internal network by entering
