Hi,
I am having a problem with the A/V edge server, the interface is configured with a external routable address.
Voice calls work when both users are external, sequence from what I see.
- Normal IM traffic is seen over TCP/443 using TLS to the access edge IP address
- Voice call is initiated
- Normal IM traffic seems to stop
- I now see traffic over UDP/3478 to the A/V edge IP address
- Voice call is stopped, traffic on UDP/3478 stops
- There is some traffic over TCP/443 to the A/V edge IP address
- Normal IM traffic recommences back to the access edge IP address
When i try to call a in office user, or someone in the office initiates a call to an remote user, I notice the following traffic.
- Normal IM traffic is seen over TCP/443 using TLS to the access edge IP address
- Voice call is initiated
- I now see traffic over UDP/3478 to the A/V edge IP address
- I do not see any traffic being returned from the edge A/V server (none!)
- Now i see my machine rotating between, remote internal IP of office user, and a few other addresses, maybe internal router interface IPs (getting confirmation)?
So to me it seams that the internal client is not traversing the Edge A/V server for external connections correctly. The A/V edge server is not responding to any traffic from my machine.
Any idea what the problem could be here? Do I need to do anything on the office router to allow STUN/ICE to work? I would have though that by default all this external traffic traverses the edge A/V server, is this not the case?
I also notice that my internal client tried to connect to the AV edge inside address on UDP/3748 quite a few times, I have this open through the firewall. After quite a few attempts it starts to failback trying to connect to the NAT of the remote user and even the non-routable address of the remote user.
I appreciate any assistance that can be given.
Thanks
Matthew
