error installing live communication server 2005

Tags: Microsoft, Live Communications server, 2005, failure [0x80070057] the parameter is incorrect

we initially deployed office communicator 2007 server however after it failed to properly integrate with a 3rd party application we uninstalled ocs 2007,(2007 install was sucessful 3rd, party app did not support 2007 however) reformatted the server and reinstalled with windows 2003 r1 SP1.
When we attempt to install lcs 2005 the schema prep shows as completed, when the forest prep is run an error is generated :failure [0x80070057] the parameter is incorrect. This is in relation to the Create Global Settings action. The action information shows Global Settings not ready.
We have run forest and domain unprep after uninstalling ocs2007.
any help resolving this would be appreciated.Start Free Trial
