Can you get any other client to connect to LCS2005?   Messenger?

You have Office Communictor 2005 or 2007?

What method is MOC trying to connect with, TLS or TCP?  Once a user is assigned to the R2 pool, you will no longer be able to connect to LCS 2005 and only be able to sign into 2007.  R2 will typically use TLS as its method. I sometimes see the issue where someone is trying to connect to 2007 server using TCP which was how you connect to LCS. Are you able to see any system errors?

I can connect to LCS using Windows messenger just fine. MOC 2005 wont connect to OCS or LCS. Here is my situation:  Using MOC 2005 connecting to OCS with user on OCS server (using TCP): Cannot sign in to Communications Service because the server is temporarily unavailable.
MOC 2005 connecting to OCS with user on OCS server  (using tls): There was a problem verifying the certificate from the sever.
My OCS server is configured for MTLS.

When using MOC 2005 (using TCP) I can now connect to LCS. I had to change the transport to TCP.

Any idea why MOC 2005 can connect to the OCS 2007 R2 server?
