Must I have a reverse proxy on a consolidated edge server? Could someone elaborate on how this is to be accomplished? I just have 2 OCS servers didn't know I need some other server for reverse proxy?

I think you are referring to a reverse proxy for web traffic? Example: OCS uses the reverse proxy for things such as CWA (web access), remote ABS download, certain meeting content, and mail enabled group expansion (Exchange DLs). If that is what you are referring to, it is not required if you are not using those features.

The Edge server handles the SIP/Audio/Video/Web Conf traffic and a http proxy is not required for that.
Just my opinion, but I have configured all kinds of servers and OCS Edge servers are too effing complex. I used the edge planning tool, I have read 100's of pages of documentation, but I still don't see the pieces fitting together the way I want for my org's situation. I don't need all the bells and whistles just public anonymous access to web confs and av. This far exceeds Exchange which used or to take the complexity cake. I'm about to give up on this crap as all the stuff I find is too cryptic or just repeats Microsoft docs and isn't real-world.
a simple answer is no. If you are planning on just doing anonymous meeting w/out sharing content (not talking about screen sharing or app sharing, actual content like PPT files). But do realize that external ocs clients will receive "cannot download address book error" without a reverse proxy to host your address book.

Unfortunately this cant be done on the edge server, also the good part that you dont have to publish this on a dedicated server, it could be one of exiting servers, or firewalls
