The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

OCS Web Scheduler

Asked by tbennett35 in Live/Office Communications Server

I have insalled OCS Web Scheduler R2 in an OCS 2007 R2 lab. OCS is inthe following confguration:

Front End Server hosting web components server
Edge Server hosting all edge roles
SQLserver hosting OCS databases

I have installed Web Scheduler and activated, and I got a sucessfull activation. I have aso set the SMTP server using the vb script supplied with the application (have also tried setting manually - no difference). When I open the login page in a browser, I get the page but I can't login in. i know that cookies need to be enabled to login (so it states on the login page) but these are enabled however I still can't login. When I enter credentials and click login or press enter, I just get the forms based login re-appear empty, with no error. I've checked the logs and see nothing in the event log, while the IIS log adds 3 entries:

2009-11-05 16:07:56 ::1 POST /Conf/Int/Login.aspx ReturnUrl=%2fconf%2fint%2fDefault.aspx 80 - ::1 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+7.0;+Windows+NT+6.0;+WOW64;+SLCC1;+.NET+CLR+2.0.50727;+.NET+CLR+3.5.30729;+.NET+CLR+3.0.30618) 302 0 0 703
2009-11-05 16:07:56 ::1 GET /conf/int/Default.aspx - 80 - ::1 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+7.0;+Windows+NT+6.0;+WOW64;+SLCC1;+.NET+CLR+2.0.50727;+.NET+CLR+3.5.30729;+.NET+CLR+3.0.30618) 302 0 0 62
2009-11-05 16:07:56 ::1 GET /Conf/Int/Login.aspx ReturnUrl=%2fconf%2fint%2fDefault.aspx 80 - ::1 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+7.0;+Windows+NT+6.0;+WOW64;+SLCC1;+.NET+CLR+2.0.50727;+.NET+CLR+3.5.30729;+.NET+CLR+3.0.30618) 200 0 0 0

I thought a 200 was a success? I'm not able to login though.

I should add this is all on Windows 2008 x64 with SP2, and I have activated the Web Scheduler service with the correct account (the one that runs the LSGroupExpAppPool).
