The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. Cannot connect through TS Web Access outside the internal network

First off, I want you to know that the client is an XP Pro machine running SP3. The host is the 2008 Standard Server.

I recently setup and configured TS Web Access on a 2008 Server. I configured the TS Gateway and created a security group named, "TS Web Access."  I added this security group to the CAP and RAP membership polices and created an SSL certificate. I copied that certificate and installed it on the client machine.

I then bring up the TS Web Access url and login with the user who is a member of the TS Web Access security group. I then click "configuration" and choose the name of the TS Web Acces server. I have tried just the name of the server and I've used the FQDN, server.domain.com. I then click "remote desktop" and try to connect to the 2008 server. I receive this message when trying to connect, "This computer can't connect to the remote computer. Remote Desktop cannot find the remote computer. Type the computer name or IP address again, and then try connecting. If the problem continues, contact the owner of the remote computer or your network administrator."

I have tried the server name and the IP address to no avail. What did I miss? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
