Browse All TopicsI've read the WSUS Operations Guide, but nowhere does it say what the little icons mean, the ones to the left of the update title in the main window.
Whether it is a red X icon, a yellow triangle, or blank - what does it mean? Regardless of icon, sometimes (many times) the updates will still say "This update has been superseded...".
Thanks,
Steve

Hi,
If you click on the entry with the icon, then at the bottom where you have the informational window you will see a yellow line with writing in it. That line tells you what the icon is. As earlier stated by Netman66 they usually have the same meaning for the computers and the updates.
Regards,
Pritesh

The "i" is informational - generally there is no error, but there is an event to look at.
The "!" means there is a problem to look at.
The "X" means there is a critical error.
Superceded updates have the "!" as a warning to decline the older update. You can set this to be Automatic in WSUS 3.0.
