Zones: Microsoft Server, Windows 2003 Server, Active Directory

I need help with my 2003 ENT Server. Am getting this message
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or crrupt:

<Windows Root>\System32/Ntoskrnl.exe.
Please re - install a copy of the above file.

How do I do this with out the lost or crruption of data?
