The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

t:10.21.43.5
The command completed successfully.

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.BRIDGEPORT>w32tm /config /update
The command completed successfully.

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.BRIDGEPORT>net stop w32time
The Windows Time service is stopping.
The Windows Time service was stopped successfully.

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.BRIDGEPORT>net start w32time
The Windows Time service is starting.
The Windows Time service was started successfully.

Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.BRIDGEPORT>net time ?
The syntax of this command is:

NET TIME
[\\computername | /DOMAIN[:domainname] | /RTSDOMAIN[:domainname]] [/SET]
         [\\computername] /QUERYSNTP
         [\\computername] /SETSNTP[:ntp server list]

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.BRIDGEPORT>net time /domain:bridgeport /set /yes
Current time at \\BRHS-MAIN_SERV is 3/14/2008 7:25 AM

Local time (GMT-04:00) at \\BRHS-MAIN_SERV is 3/14/2008 8:25 AM

The command completed successfully.

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.BRIDGEPORT>net time \\brhs-main_serv /set /yes
Current time at \\brhs-main_serv is 3/14/2008 7:25 AM

Local time (GMT-04:00) at \\brhs-main_serv is 3/14/2008 8:25 AM

The command completed successfully.

-----------------------------------

Where is my clock getting the time from?  I have automatically change time with DST unchecked.  If I change the time, in a hour of so it goes back.  My computer is fully updated, even with the DST patch.

I know this probably has been discussed countless times, but I've tried everything.

Please help,

Thank you

I see Local time (GMT-04:00) at \\brhs-main_serv
Isn't your time zone GMT-05 ?
Check the time zone settings on your XP client and confirm it's the same as on the DC.

Thank you for everyone who replied.  Nightmare2 good eye pointing out the GMT-4:00, I would have never caught that.

I ended up running the intelladmin DST tool, first uninstalling the patch, then reinstalling it again.

Thanks again,
