Slow to log one error that domain not available

I can log onto the DC with no problems but when I log onto a client computer it is very very slow and if I try to access folders o n the DC I get an error domain Controller not available

DC has one network card and an ISA 2006 is used as the router to the internet.  I have been changing some settings  on the ISA but I dont see how this can affect it, at the moment I can get back o ntot he ISA remotely but I need to know what do look for and do  in the morning before the computers are needed

DC  192.168.17.258
ISA  192.168.17.1
