Hi,
I need some expert advice or guidance as to where to begin with Server Patch Management. Curerntly we have not got a procudure or process in place to patch our servers and some servers are not up-to-date in terms of Service packs and security updates.
I was wondering if someone with more expertise could point me into a starting point as to what to consider, take into account where to begin patchmanagmenet.
i.e My approach is to 1. audit all servers.
2. begin a procedure for admins to follow (manual at this stage)
3. patch servers and relevant service packs - (test enrionment???)
Please help with any suggestions...I really do not know where to begin.
