I have a Windows 2003 Server with Exchange 2003 on it. We lost power over the weekend and when I started the server it never came all the way up, it went to applying computer settings for 30 minutes, then applying network settings for over 1 hour and never came to the log in screen.. After hours of troubleshooting I figured out it is the Exchange Information Store. If I disable this service the computer comes up and runs fine. But when I am in Windows and start it, it does the same thing, not locked up but completely frozen, I can ALT TAB between screens but unable to change anything. I had Task Manager up and it moved between process's and only 1% used so nothing is running.. I also had a hard drive test run and it is at 85MB per second for 30 minutes so I know the harddrive is right..
I have Trend Micro SMB with Messaging on the Server but have disabled it for testing, still not coming up..
It really sucks because anything I try, when it fails, I have to hard reboot, go into safe mode, disable Information Store, and reboot..
I also did a eseutil /ml E00 and it came back fine, but a eseutil /r E00 does the same thing, freezes up the computer completely, no status bar, nothing....
Any ideas!!!
