cant open folders "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the folder options control panel folder shortcuts"

I was trying to lock down a terminal server and make the users not be able to explore from right clicking the start button. I found a registry edit and did that however when it was done, i was unable to open any folders, i can open other programs on the desktop but folders just will not work.

the registry entries that i deleted( then added back later to no avail)

hkey_classes_root/directory/shell/find

hkey_classes_root/folder/shell/open and hkey_classes_root/folder/shell/explore

this made the options to right click and explore go away but as i said i now do not have the ability to open folders.Start Free Trial
