How do I setup Hyper-V on a Core Installation with AD DS running?
How do I get Hyper-V working on a COre installation of Server 2008 that is also running AD DS? I've installed IIS and also Hyper-V from the command line. When I attempt to connect from my Vista SP1 machine using the Hyper-V Manager snap-in I keep getting 'The operation on computer 'Host1' failed'.

Yes I'm using the latest version of Hyper-V and the Virtual Machine service is started.
And you did modify the Firewall rules to permit access? The default rules won't let you in.

netsh advfirewall firewall set rule group="Remote Administration" new enable=yes
netsh advfirewall set currentprofile settings remotemanagement enable
cscript c:\windows\system32\screge

Is the Virtual Machine service started? And have you updated Hyper-V since building the server? If not, you're fairly likely to be running a beta version of Hyper-V (which has problems with the installation language if not en-us).
