Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. VMware Server - The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk2 and The device, \Device\Scsi\symmpi1, is not ready for access yet.

I have a Windows 2003 server with SQL loaded onto a system with VMware - Recently I am getting two error's in even viewer when the server is usally under load -

The device, \Device\Scsi\symmpi1, is not ready for access yet.
The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk2

I thought it may be one of the physical disk so i copied the VMware files to a new drive, the same problem is occurring. The only change is it went from hardisk3 to harddisk2

Im not two sure were to start.
