Hello, I work at a school and own 2 email servers, one for students and one for faculty.  When the faculty emails students they immediately receive this message from our Exchange 2003 sp2.

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

    faculty@school.edu on 9/5/2008 3:39 PM
            You do not have permission to send to this recipient.  For assistance, contact your system administrator.
            <mail.school.edu #5.7.1 smtp;550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for student@123.school.edu>

I can tell from logs it never makes it to student server at all, it is rejected from exchange before it ever gets out the door.  Exchange will receive the emails from the students just fine, just won't email out to them.

Can you please point me in the right direction on how to make my exchange let messages out to the student's pop email?

Our naming convention is very similar ...school.edu...and 123.school.edu.  It has worked fine for a year until we switched ISP's.Start Free Trial
