The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. SBS 2003 Web Remote Workplace problem...

I have an SBS 2003 R2 server that won't allow connections through the Web Remote Workplace. I've read several threads on this issue and have done everything I think I need to for it to work, but it doesn't. Here's some background onformation on the setup:

BellSouth DSL Netopia "router"
Dell PE 2900 server with 10-15 client machines. ALL XP Professional.
I've forwarded port 4125 (created a "pinhole" as Netopia calls it) from the router to the private IP of the server.
RDP is enable on all machines.
On a couple of test PCs, I've added the domain "Web Remote Users" group to the local "people allowed to connect remotely" group (not sure of the GP name). Can't connect to these either...

I can open IE and connect to the www.externaldomainname.com/remote site and I get to the Remote Web Workplace "screen" (once I'm logged in of course). If I click on the connect to desktop PC link, I'm given the box to choose which PC I'd like to connect to. Once I chose a PC, I'm prompted with the clipboard options, etc. then I get the VBScript error saying that I can't connect due to RDP not being enabled, or a couple of other reasons: none of which should apply, as far as I know.

I can RDP to the server, via a custom mapped port. Once on the server, I can RDP into any box on the Network. What am I over looking??? I used the Wizards to set everything up as well... Please help!!!
