The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Cant find where TS restrictions are set.

Asked by Mark0tech in Remote Desktop/Terminal Services, Windows 2003 Server

Tags: , ,

I have a 2003 Server standard, not setup as a Domain, IT has TS installed on it.
Now i have taken over management of this site not long ago and for the life of me I cant find where the previous person set all the ruls and restrictions for the TS users.
They are not applied though the GPO (there is only one as its not a Domain)
They are set in the registry, but I cant see how he set them as he has had to set the restrictions for multiple users (but the administrator and the owner of the company are excluded) so The only way i can see how to change these setting sis to go into every user under the users in the registry, but this take for ever.
I have been able to override some settings with GPO but I cant see where they are set, there are heaps of restrictions.
one thing I did note was when i run gpresult under administrator it says it is getting its gpr for server.notmyworkgroup.local and over a slow conenction
Now my machine is called server but is not the domain that comes up.
When i run gpresult as a user it says its getting the gpo fro server and thats it.
I have also looking the system.adm and have changed a few things in there for drive letter restriction but nothing has been set in here by the last user either. ?
