To all ,thank you in advance for reading this question, I support a company that uses a bandwidth intensive program (.dbf type file access). For customers with direct network speeds of less then 10Mb connection or if they are remotely located we recommend using terminal services. The results are fantastic and the customers are delighted they can use our product.
My problem is, i have to a customer that is being asked to provide shared services with their partner and he claims his 2 dedicated T-1 are maxed out. And that an average of 4 TTS concurrent connection would place his network in jeopardy of failure. I'm not disputing his claim but at the sametime he's proposing another dedicated T-1 just for these users.
The application to be installed is not graphic or audio intensive so it can operate without flaws at the lowest client(experience) setting. note: The session is limited to just the application.
I guess what i am looking for is what kind of bandwidth would i look to consume in this case and if there is any documentation to go with it.
I don't mind a network administrator using our application for leverage to get what will make his job easier. But for me to loss a client because this guy is giving false info to his president and at the same time refuses to allow us to perform a test on there network at peak hours is a little hard to swallow.
Thank you for your assistance, Sincerely, Rob
