Pre-release version of Remote desktop connection has expired error message while opening RDP.

Hi everyone
Was surprised to come across an error message which i have attached below. Tried google search but was not able to come across any solution.
Please suggest what i can do to get rid of this message my operating system is Windows XP PRO SP3.

SP3? Maybe that is where your problem comes from ...
As said in message, either go to windows update and check if there is a newer version for RD or you can download it from MS Website. Try this one for example : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=26f11f0c-0d18-4306-abcf-d4f18c8f5df9&DisplayLang=en

Overwrite these two files from older xp sp2:
mstscax.dll
mstsc.exe

I suspect it is SP3 that is causing the problems - SP3 has not yet officially been released so you must be using the Release Candidate. If you are using RC1, then you can update to RC2 which should cure the issues, or roll-back to XP-SP2

Hey thanks a lot RDP is now working after i replaced those 2 files from winxp sp2 system. Strange why the existing RDP on SP3 failed, i assume rdp is inbuilt and it should have never prompted me to install full version of rdp anyways thanks once again.

Please note that what KCTS said is correct, SP3 officially not yet released.

Now that SP3 IS offically released I encured the same error.  I will apply the overwrite as well and comment if that doesn't take care of it.  Thanks!!

I realize I'm back at a dead horse here, but I have this same issue - xp home sp3.  Replacing those files doesn't fix the issue.  Replacing the .mui files within en-us folder, it works once, and then fails again.  Any thoughts?
