cannot log into terminal server -- Microsoft, Microsoft RDP Client Control, Vista -- IE7 -- Service Pack 1

several of our clients who are using Vista systems, using IE7 and have upgraded to service pack 1 are now unable to log into our IE-supported terminal server environment through the usual method ("Microsoft RDP Client Control (redist)" add-in for IE)

clients can use a Remote Desktop Connection and log into the terminal server environment without any problems, but trying to log-in through IE simply pops the users back to the log-in page without ever hitting the server -- IE appears to have loaded the active X controls we utilize successfully, Vista's UAC has been disabled, as has the Norton Antivirus IE plug-in used on these machines, but we are still unable to log in through IE --

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
