Simultaneous Connections

Asked by johnsco1955 in Remote Desktop/Terminal Services

I want to allow more than the default 3 connections through Remote Desktop Connections.  I have setup Terminal Services on a server running Win 2K3 Datacenter.  I have purchased addtional cals which have not arrived yet.  I have not installed Terminal Server Licensing Server yet because I am using the 120 grace period.
Problem: I can connect to the server desktop via Remote Desktop Connections.  However when I try to connect from another computer using the same user I get the following:
"Remote Desktop Disconnected
Your Remote Desktop Session has ended. Another user connected to the remote computer, so your connect was lost, try connection again."
1. I was told not to install Terminal Server Licensing Server until I could load the cals, is this not true?
2. I s the reason I am getting kicked off is because I do not have Terminal Server Licensing Server installed?
3. I was told in the 120 day grace period I would have unlimited logons ( I will license by user not by device).  Is this not true?
Please consult, I know there is a box I have not checked somewhere in configuration I could use some advice. Start Free Trial
