sometime today any new connecting rdp clients into my terminal server have quit working. existing clients logged in already have no problem continuing work of course pending they dont log off!
i can ping the server
cannot connect using ip
cannot connect using rdp client
firewall is off
i can telnet into the server using port 3389.......
this is all across the domain
i have 2 errors in the event log that are new today and to me:
1. A certificate could not be found. Connections that use the L2TP protocol over IPSec require the installation of a machine certificate, also known as a computer certificate. No L2TP calls will be accepted.
2. The "Session Directory Computers" group is empty, you must add the computer accounts of Terminal Servers into this group for the Session Directory service to work properly.
the error i get when i attempt to log on from the client is that the computer is unavailable
most likely causes are remote connections might not be enabled, maximum number of connections was exceeded
a network error occurred while establishing a connection
help would be greatly appreciated
