Question

Citrix Web Interface cannot copy and paste to local machine.

We currently have Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 installed and have it so that our remote users only use the Web Interface.  We have network shares published on the web interface.  We are unable to copy and paste in between the published network shares and the local machine. The error that is received is: " Cannot Copy File: Cannot Read From The Source File or Disk."  We need a workaround so that this functionality is restored.

To do what you are trying to do you need to enable drive mapping on the local client (configured via a Citrix policy or on the ICA-tcp connector itself) - once enabled when the client connects they will be prompted to allow their drives to appear on the server - they should say full access - never ask again and now they can move/copy files back and forth between their local client and the server.

I have the ICA-TCP connector set to map network drives and created the policies to map/connect the drives.   This will allow the users that access their Citrix Desktop to copy and paste but not the remote users who use the Citrix Web Interface.  I will attach screen shots of the policies and of the Web Interface which users need to be able to copy and paste to their local desktop.

Sorry to be clear, you can't "copy and paste" files between host and server, you can copy and paste between server drive (or network share) and the remapped "Client drive" - example:

\\server\share (hosted in Citrix) can not copy and paste a file to c:\files
\\server\share (hosted in Citrix) can copy and paste a file to the "c on client workstation-name" that shows up in the server's "My Computer"

I apologize for the EXTREMELY delayed response as for some reason I did not realize an additional comment had been made.

Yes your examples are correct; I cannot copy and paste between a local machine and a shared location on the server through the web interface.   Is there any work around that will allow a user to copy/paste between their local machine and the published network share?

I actually found an acceptable solution at http://forums.citrix.com/message.jspa?messageID=1356804
The user is not able to drag and drop from the published share to their local machine; however, they are able to navigate to their mapped drive allowing them to copy/paste within the published share.

Try setting up a map as 'pfcjoker' suggested. It should work.

But, installing the XenApp Desktop Client (windows application) is highly recommended instead of the XenApp Streaming client (browser (plug-in).
