I have chnged the listening port and added an exception for the new port in windows firewall- rebooted and the problems still exists

Browse All TopicsI have set up a new computer on an existing windows 2003 sbs server network. The user who uses this computer remotes in freaquently using remote desktop connection connecting to xx.xx.xx.xx:3389. I have tried internally (from inside the local network) and externally to connect the workstation. When i try to connect, when propt i enter the windows credetials and wait, eventually the connection times out. On the Host computer receiving the remote connection, the computer locks up/freezes. The only way to anything from that point is to rebootthe host computer manually. I am onsite please help. I can establish the connection fine it seem when it tries to auth, that it freezes the local computer.

I have tried to connect using different user account local and domian, the host/receivig computer still locks.
The firewall is configured to allow remote desktop connections, it is also controlled by sbs 2003 group policies fwiw.
