I am trying to update the BIOS on a customers PC. They are getting NMI: Parity errors when shutting down the PC and sometimes just randomly when the PC is not being used. I have already tested known working RAM and the customers ram with memtest and have not gotten any errors. I have also ran a Hard Drive Diag and CPU test just to make sure and have not gotten any errors on those either. I have Cleared the CMOS and removed the jumper that normally blocks the BIOS Update and have made sure that BIOS Update Block is disabled in the existing BIOS. When I try to install either of the BIOS updates directly from Intel's site I get this error: Part ID not found in table of supported parts.
I have also tried the automatic .bat file and the user input .bat file which are both included with the BIOS update file. Here's the link to the bios update file that I have tried to use:

Updating the BIOS is the last step that I can think of to get rid of the intermittent NMI: Parity error. Other than an actual motherboard failure.
Any help would be appreciated.

thanks for the replies. I replaced the CMOS battery with a known good one and thought the problem was fixed. It is still there, it just does not happen as often. Maybe once out of every 5-6 times I shut down or reboot the PC i am still getting the NMI: Parity Check/ Memory Parity Error. I did just notice there is one or two bubbling capacitors close to the CPU seats on the motherboard.
And knowing that this board is fairly outdated i'm almost to the point of telling the person that they need a new board.
If you are good with soldering you could check on the site below for spare capacitors (badcaps would be one of the causes of your error):

Have you replaced the battery? A spent battery is more likely to cause NMI parity errors than a bad BIOS.
